Friendly Plant
Friendly Plant
There lived a little leafy friend,
Beside the glass where light would bend.
She basked each day in sunshine’s glow,
And watched the world from high and low.
Some say she’s just a decoration,
But theirs is more—a real relation.
She breathes in what her master sighs,
And gifts him air beneath the skies.
Together they would share the room,
In winter chill and summer bloom.
She’d glance at him with gentle grace,
A touch of green in quiet space.
She watched the street, the clouds, the rain,
And whispered calm through windowpane.
She sometimes played a clever part—
By hiding him with leafy art.
And so she stood, her joy so bright,
A symbol of the home’s soft light.
A tiny plant, with leaves so true,
Whose heart was green, and love ran through.
